Without Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, Xi Omega Chapter of Tau Kappa Epsilon would not exist. It is the view of the of this chapter that maintaining a good chapter GPA is essential to the survival of Tau Kappa Epsilon.
Tau Kappa Epsilon pays serious attention to academic performance. A strong academic record not only prepares members for success after graduation, but it also helps them strengthen their mind to the world. TKE help its members excel in their academic life and assist in their pursuits afterward.
TKE Xi Omega Chapter Spring 2009 Academic Results.
Finished 9th overall out of 34 Fraternities at Virginia Tech in all Chapter Members Grades with a 2.967.
We finished above the Virginia Tech all male average GPA.
Our New Members Finished 4th Overall out of 34 Fraternities at Viriginia Tech with a 3.201.
We had 13 out of 42 brothers make Deans List.
We had 24 out of 42 brothers earn a 3.0 or higher.
The chapter each semester will award at least one of are brothers the John Tyler Fearnow Scholarship.
To be eligible for the scholarship is you must have a 3.0 GPA and have been a brother the semester before and the semester after you are to possibly receive the scholarship and have made significant contributions to TKE.
